It was the middle of the night and dim in his room when he suddenly sat up in surprise. As he rubbed the sleep from his eyes with the back of his hand, he realized it had been one of his most vivid "no pants" dreams.
Since I'm awake, I might as well use the facilities. He pulled the covers back and stepped onto the floor. There was an odd click/tap sound as each foot hit the floor. He scratched his head at the sound and noticed that all of the sounds around him were more distinct than usual. He even heard the sound of his fingers rubbing his scalp. As he paused to think about the sounds, he leaned forward to think. His elbows sensed an odd scratchy feeling where his thighs should have been -- ahhh, it's just the blanket. He started to move the blanket aside to get up, but couldn't find the edge to grasp.
I must be tangled in the sheets and blankets. I'd better turn the bedside light on before I break my neck getting out of bed.
