Sharon wakes up in a hospital-like room. At first she is releived to see that her arms, and apparently the rest of her body, were normal. Then she looks into a mirror and sees wires running out of her open skull an into a bottle containing a floating brain...
"Ah, Sharon," Mr Black said after she'd screamed herself hoarse. "As you've seen, we've dropped the robot body idea. Instead we're just going to give you a computer brain." "You're what!?" "Don't worry, you won't notice the difference; you'll be programmed not to. Once we finish downloading your personality we can dispose of your gray matter. I always thought that pretty girls didn't need brains anyway." "You bastard!" Sharon spat. "You can't do this to me!" "Oh, yes we can," Mr Black said, and reached over and turned Sharon off.
