Another mermaid. Another mermaid who spotted her as well, and came near. Sharon's surprise was so great that she resurfaced and screamed out of nowhere. At no more than twenty meters was an almost-perfect duplicate of herself!
The 'clone' surfaced next to her. Her breasts were slightly smaller, and she did have a human vagina (her tail started a little lower), but Sharon knew her own face well enough to identify it as the one she was looking at.
"Who are you?"
"I'm your replacement. Our organization decided that I was better off for the job than you are. Sorry, but your presence here has become antieconomical." Said
so, the other Sharon attacked her original trying to strangle her. The original Sharon had been a mermaid for longer than the clone, however, and knew how to move: she dived
again and with a somersault she found herself free. The clone then took from a fishnet bag -- just the same as the one she herself had, Sharon thought -- a weapon resembling a
cattle prod. The clone then attacked again. During the brief fight the original Sharon had time to wonder why the heart-attack inducer still hadn't hit her -- maybe it was designed
only for humans. After some time...
