As Alicia head toward the playground, she spotted alot of children playing on the equipment as their mother's watched.
"This is perfect, I can hide among all the other childern", thought Alicia. She ducked into the little play house in the middle of the play area. She concentrated on becoming five years old. As she started shinking she adjusted her clothes to a little pink dress with ruffles around the arm holes. Her socks shrank into little ankle socks and her shoes turned into black maryjanes. Her hair pulled back into a pony tail with a pink ribbin tried in a bow.
Alicia looked out the window and spotted Val walking toward the playground. As Val turned her back while searching, Alicia walked out of the play house and joined the other little girls playing in a sand box.
"Can I play", asked Alicia.
"Sure, my name is Tracy and this is Betty. What is your name?",ask Tracy.
"Alicia," explained Alicia as she sat down in the sand.
"That's a pretty name," said Betty.
"Were are building a bid castle for our dolls to play in," explained Tracy.
Alicia forgot what it was like to be alittle girl again. She turned her head and watched Val leave the playground and back toward the highschool. She sighed with relief, as her problem was solved.
"Sounds like fun," says Alicia happly as she got into her role.
After about an hour, Alicia was having a lot of fun playing with this girls until one of the mothers walked up to them.
"Tracy, Betty time to go home,"said Tracy's and Betty's mother.
"Okay Mommy, this is Alicia, she is our new friend",Tracy said with a smile.
"That's is a pretty name, is your mother around Alicia?", asked the mother.
Thinking quickly, "Umm, my mommy is coming to pick me up", said Alicia.
"It is not good for alittle girl to be all alone, come with me and we'll call your mother at our house", Tracy mother said.
"But..but my mommy will be mad if I go with strangers," says Alicia hoping that the mother would leave her alone.
"Come on Alicia, you can play with my dolls at our house until your mommy picks you up", smiles Betty.
"See Alicia, your are not with strangers, you made friends with my daughters," said Mary, Tracy's and Betty's mother.
Giving up, "Okay, I'll go," Alicia said saddly. "What am I going to do now, I can't change in front of them, I'll just have to wait", thought Alicia.
