The idealized duplicate of Uma Thurman, looking at most in her late teens, opened the "Employees Only" door leading back into the mall...opened it just a crack. Nobody seemed to be looking, so she opened it all the way and went out through the doorway into the mall. As she walked along, she felt the Jim-self inside her body become wrapped in a false, womanly persona, with female knowledge to boot -- but not Uma Thurman's memories. It was as if the self in her body were being given all the information needed on how to be an alluring woman, but not on how to be Uma Thurman or any woman in particular, other than a young American one. As she walked along, her walk lost its last touch of masculinity, her face became more animated and its expression more feminine...she slipped into the role of Beautiful Woman to perfection. A handsome, well-dressed man approached her and said, "Pardon me, but you look just like Uma Thurman!" The girl smiled at him. "Surely I look a bit younger, don't I?" He answered, "Of course, but there is a strong resemblance, you know." Her smile broadened. "Do you like it?" she asked. He nodded, and she went on, "My boyfriend's a makeup artist. The face you're looking at is mostly foam latex. A friend of his gave him a life cast of Uma Thurman's face, and he made appliances to fit on my face so I look just like Uma! Aren't they realistic? Don't they look real? Underneath them I'm really rather ordinary." The man looked amazed, and said, "I don't believe it!"
