Suzanne feels at her neck, rather ostentatiously, Jim thinks, for the seam to her skin, so that she can peel it off and change into Sharon and a Suzanne suit. "Oh, my God!" she says, in Spanish at first, then in English when Jim looks confused. "Jim, do you love me? Even as I am, even as an older woman?" She looks at him, apparently terrified. Jim nods, and says, "What's wrong?" Suzanne, tears in her big, dark eyes, the incipient crow's-feet at their corners all too obvious, says, "I seem to be stuck this way, Jim! My skin won't come off!" Jim gets up and takes her sweet, bosomy older-woman body in his arms and hugs it tight; it shudders. He feels at its neck and finds the seam at once, and pops it open, and sighs with relief as Suzanne's head separates from the rest of her skin and her body elongates into Sharon's, clumsily clad in its Suzanne skin. "No need to have panicked, Sharon," says Jim. "I know," Sharon says, her voice muffled until she pulls off her Suzanne mask. "Just teasing you, Jim!"
