"So," Dr. VonDrake said, "should I prepare the injection?"
Miranda thought about it. The doctor had told her that she needed the shot to cure her case of Bakshi Flu, but that it would bring on some strange side effects. For the next twenty-four hours, she would be, for all practical purposes, a human 'toon, subject to all the crazy twists and turns that regular 'toons faced. Still, both the doctor and Bonkers seemed to think that Bakshi Flu was worse.
"Okay, doc," she said. "Let's get this over with."
The 'toon doctor produced a needle from a drawer. And what a needle. Miranda thought that it had to be three feet long. Still, she had been dealing with 'toons for a little while now, and cautiously raised her sleeve. In a few minutes, it was over.
"So," she asked, rubbing the spot where the needle had gone in, "when can I expect these side effects to start." Before VonDrake could answer, she felt a massive sneeze building.
"Oh, I'd say they're about to start any time now," the doctor told her, as he and Bonkers dove for cover.
When Miranda's sneeze came...
