As the Blueberry struck the wall it's incredibly resilient casing was exposed to a greater stress forces than it had previously experienced and it actually cracked.
This triggered emergency protocols. Programming indicated that the only way for it to experience sufficient forces to cause damage was if the current owner was sufficiently incapacitated as to not be able to make use of the device and so a 3 step process was started.
Step 1) Locate nearest new user. The heuristics for this required the user be free of outside influence, a being possessing sentience, and having thumbs. Rae was the nearest individual to match these criteria.
Step 2) Case repair and reinforcement. The Blueberry used it's own reality altering powers to repair it's physical form and reinforce it even further to survive the damage that had caused the protocol to start. Whoever had developed the Blueberry wanted to be very certain that the power that was held within they physical casing was never free of that casing.
Step 3) Present self to new user.
This is why Rae now looked down and saw the Blueberry in front of her - with a message "Welcome to the Soothsayer Application"
