Felix grinned as the curvy redhead entered the bathroom of their new home. If one of his favorite people in the world wanted an improved relationship with her mother, he’d be more than happy to help.
Felix and Randi had been friends for ages, so he was already well acquainted with Mr. and Mrs. Burns. Randi’s father, Joshua, ran a comic book shop on the other side of town, while her mother, Andrea, worked at their town’s aging library. Considering nearly all of Randi’s nerdy interests stemmed from her father’s love of comics, the two of them were quite close.
Andrea was another story. The intelligent and well-read librarian was always disappointed that the only things her daughter took any joy from reading were comics, manga, and Cosmo. Randi’s bad grades may have been disappointing, but Andrea always seemed to think Randi could just join her father in managing the comic book store to support herself after high school.
Of course, once graduation rolled around and Randi excitedly revealed to her parents that she’d been offered a contract with Gamer Chic to work as a booth babe and cosplay model for conventions, Andrea put her foot down. She thought her daughter was wasting her potential to become nothing more than eye candy who’d be out of a job in 5 years once they found another group of 18 year olds willing to degrade themselves for money. While her father was happy for her, he was worried about how she’d be treated, considering how well he remembered the creepy leers his customers gave Randi whenever she helped out in the shop.
A terrible argument followed and ended when Randi decided she was done living with her parents if they didn’t want her to live her life her own way. A week later, she and Felix had moved into their tiny two bedroom apartment and started their new lives.
Eventually, things with her parents cooled down and Randi and her family started talking again. While her relationship with her father was back to how things were when she was younger, she and her mother still walked on eggshells around each other. At least once a month, Andrea would try convincing her daughter to go to the community college and try getting a degree in something useful, but would always awkwardly drop the subject before things got too heated again. While Randi was clearly glad to be talking with her mother again, Felix knew she wished she could get more support.
Felix smiled as he brought up Andrea’s page on Reality Wiki and began his work to mend a mother-daughter relationship.
Andrea “Andi” Burns is a retired fashion model. From 1982 to 1990, she was one of the most successful fashion models in the country, appearing in hundreds of magazines across the globe. She retired in 1990 when the extremely thin and boyish body type made a resurgence in popularity for models and her curvy figure became less fashionable. She married her long-time boyfriend, Joshua Burns, and had one daughter, Randi.
Almost as soon as he hit enter, the doorbell rang. Still not used to having a doorbell, much less having a whole house to live in, Felix took his time to answer it. Standing on the stoop outside the house was a curvy, leggy redhead in a clingy green dress. His eyes bugged out of his head as he realized who it was.
The Andrea Burns he knew had been a rather average looking middle-aged woman, but he’d always thought she had very pretty green eyes, just like her daughter. Those same eyes now stared at him from a slightly different face and much different body.
“Hey Felix,” she greeted with a beatific smile. “How’s it going? Is Randi ready yet?”
“I think she’s in the shower, Mrs. Burns,” Felix stammered, still taken aback by how much he changed things.
“Please, Felix, call me Andi,” the curvy MILF said as she entered the house. “I don’t know how many times I have to tell you that. We’ve known each other - what - six, seven years now?”
“Yes, sorry, Mrs- Andi,” he quickly corrected.
“Don’t worry about it,” she said with a good natured chuckle as she took out her compact to touch up her makeup. It was amazing to realize that though Andi was about 10 years older than his own mother, she looked younger than her. Hell, if it wasn’t for the occasional strand of gray in her coppery curls and the slight smile lines around her mouth, he’d be willing to believe she was Randi’s older sister instead of he mother.
