Ever slow slowly, Jim's mind returned to him. The last few hours were still all a blur. He remembered the Blueberry, his first changes to Rae, the incredible sex, and the vague feeling that he had doomed the world. Most of all, he remembered the bliss. The incredible feeling that he had passed the limits of human pleasure. But after Rae attained perfection, it was just an abstract blur of orgasmic pleasure. Even now, as consciousness returned, he felt like he was floating.
Wait a second.
He was floating.
Mitch realized that he was floating effortlessly, drifting among an infinite number of stars. A giant red sun burned nearby, its russet glow eclipsed by the immense form of Rae, who was drifting nearby. She had to be at least a hundred feet high. She was watching him intently, a gentle smile on her infinitely kissable lips. She was as perfect as she had been, and Mitch was instantly hard, though he realized at once that Rae's beauty no longer posed a threat to him.
"You're awake," she said, her voice somehow audible in the vacuum of space.
"Maybe. Am I in heaven?"
Rae giggled, making a sound Mitch was ready to kill for. "It can be heaven if you want it to be. For now we're someplace safe, far away from earth, where we can talk without worrying about the effect I might have on others."
"We're in outer space, then. So why isn't my head exploding? Or why aren't I freeze-dried? And how can I breathe and hear you talking and..."
Rae giggled again, and Mitch thought his heart would explode. "Silly. You're safe because I'm taking care of you. Nothing bad will happen because I love you more than anything, and you gave me the power to keep you save forever."
"The Blueberry..." Mitch said. He suddenly realized that he no longer had the device on his person.
"I put it somewhere safe. Don't worry, you won't need it anymore. You gave me nearly infinite power, and I want to use it to make you happy."
"My last command..."
"...made me a goddess." Rae finished Mitch's thought. "I restored life to all the people I had killed earlier. Then I brought you here where we could talk safely. And privately. We haven't really had a chance to be I intimate, without all the crazy going on." The look she was giving Mitch was more than hungry.
"How can we? You're so big..."
Rae shrank until she was just slightly taller than Mitch. "Goddess, remember? Or maybe you would like it if we were both big?"
Mitch felt a rush of vertigo as the stars shifted around him. Rae was holding his hands, and there between their two torsos was the red giant, looking no larger than a golf ball. Mitch gasped when he realized how much larger than his home planet he had become. Rae pulled him close and kissed him deeply, snuffing out the dying sun between them.
"Tell me your fantasies," she whispered in his colossal ear. "I can make them all come true."
