Hudson wonder what he should tell his daugther from the future as clearly she was truly from new generation of gargoyle. Even newer then Angela in that she was born and raised in the modern era with every of modern age being common place and everyday to her(Rine is not that from that far in future about 20 years from the present).
Even Angela had to get used to the modern era since the Avalon Clan is from the same time period as Hudson and the others. It just that time moves so slowly on Avalon itself compared to everywhere else in the world. Slow enough despite being from thousand years ago the humans that Goliath entrusted Angela and her other rookery silbings with were still alive. Though being raised by human had left them with more of human upbringing then traditional gargoyle.
“What would you like to hear exactly” he asked as he did not want to bore Rine with story she probably would not be interested in.
“About your battle with the Archmage as mom told me about them yet I want hear about from you” she asked.
Hudson then went to explain about how he, Goliath, and Demona battle agains the Archmage. That it was this battle that cause him to become blind in one eye. The blind gargoyle never have been able to see herself since she was born blind after. Found it very interesting and woo and awe over everything he heard that her father had done during the fight which ended in Archmage seemingly falling to his death and he would have if he had been saved by himself.
“That the part that always confusing me as Mom and Brookyln never tell me how that was possible. Says that I am too young to understand but I am ten years old I can understand it” Rine said sounding disappointed.
Hudson was about to question but merely chalked it up to the lad forty years of traveling back and forth through time. The various means of time travel or slowing down time were far beyond the old gargoyle so he told what he knew
“Apparently he was saved by future version of himself” he told her.
“How did future him know to save past him” Rine asked.
“Aye that beyond the understanding folks like us. There many things that can not be explained even no matter how long you try to do so” her father said.
Hudson then went on to tell Rine more stories about him in his prime. Apparently Rine grew up idolizing her father from the stories she was told as while they did not make Hudson out to be this nearly legendary heroic character. The Angela from Rine’s time made sure of that. Since that how she was raised to see her own father by her step parents yet that was not who Goliath was. Angela want to make sure that Rine knew Hudson who who he truly was not made up version that focus only on his good points yet still idolized him anyway. She even carries around her father’s sword (which was magically made duller then butter knife by Fox’s son until she was old enough handle the sword as it normal is suppose to be) since she was first able to walk. Which she proudly show off to Hudson calling it her most treasure belonging.
