Sheva’s gun went click at the worst possible time. Of all the blasted! Why now?! something big with a large number of appendages was bearing down on her. One of the bio weapons many arms reached out to grab her. Skillfully, she rolled the to the side, narrowly escaping its’ grasp. She came up from her roll hitting the eject button on her gun; the empty magazine came out just as she popped a fresh one in.
Not a moment too soon as the...whatever...had turned to face her and steadily advanced as she back into a corner. Who the hell thought these things were a good idea? She though as she unloaded into the creature. It gave one more attempt to swipe at her before it reached its’ limits for bullets and fell down.
Cautiously, she approached the creature and prodded it with her foot. As a farewell gift, it exploded. A rain of grey and tan matter thoroughly coated the area and the unfortunate Sheva.
“Ick.” The beautiful woman said as she wiped the gunk off her.
“Status report.” Her radio squawked at her.
“Target is down central.”
“Any collateral?”
“It decided to explode on its’ way out. I got a coating of it. Area is bad too.” Sheva responded as she picked more of the creatures body off her own.
“Standby for a decon team. Is your patch in place?”
Sheva lifted her top slightly and fingers the tan patch than stuck out against the dark tone of her skin. Developed by the BSSA it helped minimize the risks of operatives when encountering BWs. “Yes command.”
“Good. Get yourself a shower once decon arrives. Good work out there.”
Sheva holstered her gun. Thank you for noticing that. She heard the sound of helicopters off in the distance. The decon team was coming and she could look forward to a cold shower.
