I realize I just backed away from all kinds of wacky shenanigans, but I feel like it's time to let the cast get a bit of a breather.
That's fine. It works well, actually. Great work once again. And I haven't specifically said so before, but it really makes me happy that you've clearly made the effort not to be mean spirited in this thread even when it would be so easy. Kudos for that and thanks for the update.
I'm really not sure what you mean by that, because I don't recall making an effort to avoid anything in particular.
Well, then I was clearly mistaken. But I simply meant that you've been treating the characters with respect and sensitivity when you could have gone a different way.
Well, this is an IM@S story, after all. Even if some of the characters have tragedy in their pasts or their futures, IM@S is a world where everyone can have a chance to shine. (Even if the movie chose a godawful frame for that theme.) If I was writing these characters in a more typical Ranmaverse... or in Xenoglossia for that matter, the narrative would probably be less pleasant.
Though I don't have the greatest record for finishing and posting darkfics, so my tastes may be showing as well.
