Angie Carrico was fuming. Alex was sitting on her couch watching tv. He was watching her with lustful eyes every time she was in the room. She had a pizza delivered and sat in a chair as they ate. She didn't like the way his eyes kept running over her body. She tried to make some simple conversation.
"Looking forward to graduation?"
Alex shrugged. "I guess. Afterwards we won't have to keep our relationship quiet."
Angie "we don't have a relationship."
Alex "We have gone on dates, kissed and slept together. I would think that qualifies as a relationship"
Angie stared at the floor. By definition it did qualify as a relationship.
"What about college?"
Again Alex shrugged. "I don't leave for almost 3 months. I will only be 3 hours away. I'll be home every weekend"
Angie hoped that maybe he would find someone else but as she looked at him she realized that was a long shot.
The evening drew to a close. As Alex left he gave Angie a kiss in spite of herself she felt herself responding.
"I will see you tomorrow night at the party" Alex said as he walked out the door.
Angie watched him go. She didn't know whether to scream or cry.
