Sharon tried to escape but was easily grabbed by clown Rick, then also grabbed by clown Jim. She struggled, as hard as she could, to get away, but it was no use. She could feel it. The virus was being passed onto her. It was changing her! This wasn't supposed to happen! She was supposed to get back to her own reality, then reunited with her boyfriend Jim and his friend Rick. Everything was finally going to be okay. Everything was ...
The shopkeeper woman watched with wide eyes as Sharon's skin turned completely white, clownish make-up appeared on her face - lots of pink around her mouth and a pink star around one of her eyes, her hair turned vibrant pink, and her clothing (which changed back to normal after coming back from the "crossdressing" reality) transformed into a clown outfit. This new Sharon seemed dazed for a moment, then after a fit of giggles, her eyes looked clear, but manic. The shopkeeper had been keeping up with the news of the world, so she was well aware of the clown virus and what it could do. So she knew that Sharon wasn't really Sharon anymore. She had been taken over by the clown personality. And now, this clown Sharon will have an impulse to create mischief, mayhem, and more clowns.
Clown Sharon giggled psychotically, then turned towards the shopkeeper. Clowns Jim and Rick did the same. Sharon had wanted to be back with her friends, and now she was, but this wasn't how she wanted it to happen.
------
Back in the "normal" reality, Jim and Rick ran all the way back to the park - the last place they saw their mirror, before getting displaced to the "clown virus" reality. They were delightfully surprised to actually find the mirror there, propped up against one of the trees nearby. At the moment, it was blacked out, but that was okay. They weren't intending on using it right now.
The sound of laughter got their attention. They slowly turned around and saw a group of six clowns. One of them they recognized as their friend Candace. "Oh, Candace," Rick said sadly. Out of all the girls in high school, she was the one he had considered dating the most. He just hadn't worked up the courage to do it yet. Now, he'd never get the chance.
They were lucky to not run into any clowns on the way to the park, but now, it seemed that they would have to deal with them, like it or not.
