It was supposed to be just another escort mission in Hollywood. Overwatch was supposed to escort the asset to it's destination, as usual. However, what Tracer hadn't counted on was a series of unfortunate events this day. Just as she triggered her recall, it just so happened there was one of Widow's bullets sitting right in the chronal accelerator's field, having been mere milliseconds from hitting the accelerator itself. She was also not aware of the EMP hitting her from behind as well. This wombo combo so disrupted her chronal accelerator that instead of recalling her, it popped her out that frame of spacetime, and...
"Welcome back to Bimbo or Billionaire, where we're about to find out who our next contestant will be, and..." Just then, Tracer simply poofs onto the sound stage, the accelerator roiling smoke.
"Cor blimey, the hell just happened? Where am I?"
"Why, you're on the set of the multiverse's hottest game show, Bimbo or Billionaire!!" Jack exclaimed.
"Bimbo or Billionaire?" Tracer deadpanned.
"Yes, Bimbo or Billionaire, just like I said, just like the graphics on the screens all say." Jack retorts.
"Wait, if you're the most popular game show in the multiverse, then why haven't I or anyone I know ever heard of you?"
"Look, the problem with infinite realities is that there will always be the possibly someone that will or will not be aware of our existence, only once you make the observation, collapse the wave function, yada, yada, yada, all that Schrodinger's Cat Heisenburg Superposition nonsense, or stuff..." Jack's dour mood quickly lifts as he turns to the audience, "...but we're not for some silly Trivial Pursuit, are we folks?!" the crowd both cheers and laughs, getting the double entendre.
"Um, I don't get it." Chrissi chimes in.
"Don't worry about it, babe. Remember, all you got to do is open those cases!!" Jack calls back in his cheesiest game show host voice.
"Okie dokie!! Will do!! Roger wilco!!" Chrissi blurts.
All this time, Tracer has been fiddling with her accelerator to no avail.
"Sad to say, but I think that's kaput." Jack says, "However, we have a crack tech squad ready and willing to look at it, providing..."
"Let me guess, I got to play your little game, am I right?"
"That is... correct!!" Jack exclaims. "And her prize is to actually play the game!!"
"Hah."
"Now, you're wondering how this game is played..."
"I'm figuring it has to do with those cases over there." Tracer interrupted.
"Way to do my job there... you..."
"The name's Lena Oxton." Tracer leans in beside and loudly whispers, "You're not very good at this, are you?"
"Cocky, aren't you? Well, we'll see how long that'll last." Jack turns to Chrissi and begins explaining the game. "Yes, you're right. As you can see, there are 24 cases. Twelve of them contain cash values. In each of those cases, we have sums of money ranging from $500,000,000 to $10, but it all adds up to a big billion."
"Ah, so not only are you extradimensional scallywags, but you're yanks too. No wonder no one's heard of you back home."
"Um, sure." Jack grumbled. "...You will choose one case at a time. If you open a Cash case, you can keep it to advance." He then twirls over to Chrissi. " Now, you're wondering about those OTHER 12 cases. See, those cases are what help give this game the name 'Bimbo or Billionaire,' because if you open a Bimbo case, the audience will vote on some predetermined changes based on the category in the case. The changes the cases can inflict are based on your hair, your face and/or lips, body type, breasts, compulsions, clothing, a change in your career, your voice and/or vocabulary, various fetishes, as well a grab bag of all sorts of miscellaneous transformations, a bonus card that could help or hinder you, and the ever popular intelligence case!! Get all 12 Bimbo cases and it's game over!! Also, you can walk away at any time with whatever cash you win and whatever changes you've accrued after you open six cases, however if you do leave and you've only opened between six and eleven cases, you will only get half your prize winnings and the grab bag bimbo case will automatically be opened & played, even if you already opened it once before during the game already, but if you quit after opening twelve or more cases there is no penalty. Also, seeing as you got here by rather 'peculiar' means, we're willing to fix your device, however, it will cost you, though the more cases you open, the lower the price, and if you open 12 or more, we'll fix it for free!!" A display popped up, showing the repair cost for the Chronal Accelerator, right now set at $144,000,000.
"So, try to get rich while not ending up like her, all so I can get home?" Tracer said, pointing to Chrissi. "Got it." With that, Tracer began making her first case choice, picking case #18.
