"I've not seen that ad in the paper before," Jim said. "If it's the first time it's been in, then there is unlikely to have been anyone who's previously applied. And even if there is, tracking them down would probably be very difficult."
"The biggest problem is that all we have is a box number," Sharon said. "If we could only discover this guy's identity, we could find out whether he really is a millionaire and owns a castle. If he does, then the offer's probably genuine."
"It might not be a guy," Jim pointed out. "It could be a woman."
"I suppose, but it doesn't seem likely."
Jim suddenly slapped himself on the forehead. "I'm an idiot!" he said. "I've just remembered that I'm friends with someone who works in the paper's advertising department. I bet they could find out this guy's details for us."
"Then that seems like the best idea."
Jim spoke to his friend, and then reported back to Sharon.
