It was odd, a rumble that sort of carried through their bodies and filled the room with light. Nothing was disturbed though, not even the window rattled. Both of them sat up, disentangling themselves. “What was that?” Olivia panted.

“Dunno,” said Bruce. It felt like it was still reverberating in him though, like he’d been affected in some fundamental way.

They both began transforming, and both in more ways than one.
