The Monkey's Paw, one of the classic wish granting and twisting items. Rather gross by modern standards and lots of people have heard of it thanks to mainstream media. But will that stop desperate, greedy, ambitious and/or just plain smart ass people from using it?
Spring Break at Innsmouth! This sleepy little coastal town has invested in a resort and finally put itself on digital maps. Drawn by promises of a great beach, cheap booze and rooms, and lax law enforcement how will university and college students fare against the human, non-human, and those in between followers of Dagon?
The Mothman. Citizens of an isolated mountain town are reporting strange happenings at night. The sound large flapping wings overhead followed by dust clouds drifting down that make those caught in them feel like their clothing is getting tighter and more alert to how nearby people fill out theirs. Or blacking out after seeing a pair of large hypnotically glowing red eyes and waking up to find them self in a compromising position, sometimes alone, sometimes with other people.
The Fracked. Looking for money in a bad economy a second fracking rush is happening as groups of desperate people seek to strike oil. One such group finds itself out in mostly untouched area known to locals as the Rattling Hills on count of the high level of seismic active that occurs there. As the group gets to work however they find evidence that they are not the first in the Rattling Hills but are also unable to find much more than that. What’s more is the other things they find in the area. Things like claws marks and strange symbols in the rock. Just how much the landscape rearranges itself when a tremor happens. And odd echoes and noises coming from the caves and crevices that dot the place and seem to get louder when the sun goes down.
