Locked in the dark closet, Mia rumaged around in her pocket and pulled out her cell phone. The LED display lit up as she flipped it open and she dialed the glowing numbers. Soon, her ears will filled with the electronic ringing tone, she hoped beyond hope that someone would answer. For the first time in her life, she was glad to hear Andrea's voice.
"Yes?", she said curtly.
There was silence as Mia thought of what to say.
"Who is this?", asked Andrea.
"Mom!", whispered Mia horsely, "Raven has stolen my identity and locked me in the upstairs closet!"
"Mia I don't have time for your foolishness! Hang up this instant!", she said angrily.
Mia tried to explain what she had discovered and what Raven had said, but Andrea just cut her off and began to berrate her for being a silly little girl.
"Please mother!", whined Mia. "JUst come upstairs and get me out of this closet! I can prove it!"
Mia's jaw dropped open in disbelief when Andrea hung up...
