Reynard had actually left Meious mansion hours ago. He had taken the Andrea suit with him to keep his lover from finding it and asking him too many complicated questions that Reynard was not in a position to answer. In addition, he had brought along a couple of other transforming disguises and was ready to put them to action. Reynard was sitting in his flat and reached for the phone on the coffee table by his favorite chair. He pulled one of Colleen's business cards and dialed her cell phone number. After two rings, the phone was answered.
"Hello?", asked a quizzical and worried voice on the other line.
"Do you remember what was discussed this morning.", asked Reynard.
"Who is this?", asked Colleen, her voice rising a pitch from fear.
"I need you to call Cheyenne. There are some papers she needs to sign. In order for her to get that television spot, she has to have them filed in a timely manner. Do you understand?"
There was silence on the line as the gravity of the situation sank in. This was not a talent agent, there would be no television spots. Colleen was being directed to lead Cheyenne into a trap, and she didn't know why. "What if I don't?", she dared to ask. "Cops will be at your door by three this morning, with a search warrant. I think they'll find enough evidence to arrest you for cannibalism.", said Reynard flatly.
"Why are you doing this?", asked Colleen with renewed horror.
"Have Cheyenne meet you at your office at 9:00 this evening."
Colleen was silent.
"Colleen?", asked Reynard. Silence. "Colleen..."
"Alright...", Colleen sounded subdued and Reynard could tell she was starting to cry softly.
"Good dog...", Reynard hung up and smiled quietly to himself. "Oh what a wicked world we live in", he said outloud to himself as he began to chuckle. Reynard had taken his first order for black market meat. His client was a carnivore, as were all the meat clients, and they hungered for something sentient, just to break the boredom of a hum drum life of privelage. Yes, a rich wolf was going to have a few of his packmates over, even though Reynard didn't believe they were all wolves by species, and they were going to dine on some local talent. Yes they would all dine on a feast of flesh as Cheyenne sang her country heart out over the piped in music. Perhaps it would be fun to allow Cheyenne to record the evenings music in a studio, then kill her on tape. Cheyenne was going to net Reynard a cool $2500 a pound. Simply delicious...
