Mia burst into the room and saw what appeared to be a horrific pair of furry, fleshy arcs bending and warping towards one another. The faces were distorted from magical energy and pain and they were nearly touching. In a few more seconds, they would fuse together into...well, Mia wasn't exactly sure what they would become, but she had no intention of finding out. She could see Raven tied to a chair, awestruck at what she was watching as Gunny, the bizarre blue rabbit, was shooting arcs of crackling magical energy from her fingertips at the fusing pair of hapless anthro rabbits.
Mia began to concentrate on Gunny. She began to think about a tube, a wide flexible tube, the sides of which could be pinched. A narrow tube, narrower, narrower still so that nothing could pass. Narrower still. Gunny screamed out in pain as she blacked out as the magical forces that Mia was exuding squeezed off the flow of blood to her brain. Gunny fell unconscious on the floor and her destructive fusing spell ceased.
Shadow and Cindy recovered, their forms seeming to just snap back into place in a brilliant flash of light as the spell ended. They were dumbstruck and stared at Mia for what seemed to be forever until Cindy recovered enough to speak.
"You saved us Mia. I don't know how you did it, but you managed to disrupt Raven's spell!"
Mia looked at the badly beaten form of Raven in the chair and nodded. "So this Raven in the chair isn't the real Raven? Gunny is Raven?", she asked.
Shadow looked embarassed, he had not been keen to the nuances of life that would give such a deception away, but then again, he was always self absorbed. "Yes, and Raven is Gunny. Although I don't know how she was able to fool me." Cindy began to heal the vixen in the chair and apologized to her for Shadow's mistake while Mia continued to talk with Shadow.
"Well, I'm not really Mia.", said Reynard/Mia. "Meiou has created some special transformational skinsuits that can actually replace your original body. I'm wearing one now, I mean, well I was wearing one, but it became my real body while my former skin became a suit. I think the real Mia has that one now and I'm rather keen on getting it back. Not to mention, I want my beloved Andrea back."
Shadow nodded as he considered what Reynard was telling him. "I think we are working towards the same goals, at least for now, so I propose an alliance."
Mia/Reynard agreed and they decided to give Gunny her original form back. Mia went downstairs (the fire was under control now and nearly out) and searched around for an appropriate costume. He came back upstairs with the komodo dragon. Dressing the unconscious form of 'Gunny' in the suit, it was absorbed into the skin and the furry form of Gunny once again came to the surface. Mia removed the suit from the unconscious komodo and handed it to 'Raven'. Raven climbed into the costume and zipped it up. It disappeared into her flesh and the vixen unzipped herself ans shed her suit. Mia grinned at the surprise awaiting the real Raven when she woke up as he himself began to slide into the form of the vixen. This way, he could at least be a fox again...
