BS: Bad Luck, Fitz!

Unending BE - episode 249087

For a while, F-Cup Fitzgerald was bothered by the prospect of his bad luck hitting, but finally he decided there was no sense in worrying about it. After all, he, along with all the others, had taken on the curse voluntarily, for a worthy cause. Nothing that might happen to him could offset the magnitude of the disaster they had counteracted. So he shrugged it off and forgot about it.

It started out as a good day. MarkT called Fitz up on the inter-authorial network and actually apologized. Apparently much lobbying by Adama and Dabbler had finally convinced him to review the entireity of the "Monster's Ball" thread, and as a result he had decided Fitz was more sinned against than sinning.

"Not that you're off the hook for giving Legion his opening in the Backstage by becoming his first host," MarkT cautioned. "Still, you did try to warn everyone what was going on in the face of massive skepticism and disbelief, and it was primarily through your efforts that the monster was destroyed. So I'm sorry I doubted and threatened you. To make up for it, I've written it into the fabric of the AddVenture that for the next couple weeks everyone will give you the benefit of the doubt, despite any negative preconceptions they might have."

"Um, okay, thanks Mr. T, thanks a lot," Fitz said.

"Don't mention it."

After the call, Fitz thought about what had just happened. A nice thing for MarkT to do, he supposed, but it wasn't like it was any big wow of a gift. Or was it?

Everyone would give him the benefit of the doubt? Even those models he'd been lusting after for years who wouldn't give him the time of day because of those ugly rumors spread by former girlfriends? Slowly, Fitzgerald grinned. There were possibilities here! The next few weeks promised to be very interesting...

Within the hour he was on the big-busted model suite, a bouquet of flowers in his hand, knocking on Mishka's door and sure of a great reception. (He'd called ahead. She'd practically fallen all over him in her eagerness to get together. So had the dates he'd lined up for the next three days.)

She opened the door dressed exactly as he had dreamed -- in nothing. Quickly she gathered him in and gave him a very close view of her primary endowments. Naturally, he rose to the occasion...

  1. *Everything went swimmingly until the final act, when Fitzgerald, well, wilted. Fitz's bad luck, it seemed, was a prolonged bout of impotence at the crucial moment. And in light of MarkT's gift, it couldn't have been a worse time for this particular type of bad luck...

The next few weeks were very interesting indeed...
