As Katrina and Jem recovered from the shock of seeing their sex-crazed friend run off in the guise of a naked bunnygirl, the phone rang. Jem ran over to answer it. "Hello?" she asked.
"Jem, it's me," Nicholas replied. "I'm calling to warn you that I accidentally set Megan's horniness to activate sooner than I had anticipated. Is everything alright?"
"I'm afraid not," Jem replied. "Megan just went berserk with lust and ran out of here on a rail without any clothes on. Katrina and I were so stunned that we couldn't chase after her."
"Damn it," Nicholas cursed. "OK. First of all, neither you nor Katrina have anything to fear from this. This was neither of your faults. I won't ask you to go out looking for Megan. I don't even think it'll be that necessary."
"Why not?" Jem asked. "She's out there, out of her mind, naked, and part rabbit!"
"Jem," Nicholas said, "do you have any idea how conspicuous a person with that description is?"
Jem slapped herself on the head for not thinking of the obvious. "So what do we do? Wait for Megan to show up on the eleven o'clock news with the heading "Nymphomaniacal Lagomorph Woman At Large"?"
"It's a possibility," Nicholas replied. "However, in that instance, Megan will more than likely be taken in by the police, and from there, they'll no doubt hand her over to a medical staff with the intent to run tests on her."
"So why not just remove the curses?" Jem asked. "Megan's suffered enough, hasn't she?"
Nicholas sighed. "It's not so simple, Jem. For one thing, I don't ever plan on removing the curses I set on Megan. For another, even if I wanted to, I couldn't change her back unless I had her right here in front of me. Do you understand?"
"I do," Jem replied. "So what should Katrina and I do?"
"Show up for work, as usual," Nicholas replied. "If you see any sign of Megan between now and then, give me a call and I'll see what I can do."
"OK," Jem replied. "Goodbye."
"Goodbye, Jem," Nicholas replied. Jem hung the phone up and informed Katrina of the plan.
"Holy crap," Katrina plopped down onto the couch with her tail waving about in the air. "This is sooooo messed up."
"You're telling me," Jem replied. "I hate to think of what Megan's getting herself into. Turn the TV onto the news, would you?"
Katrina did as she was asked. For about a half an hour, the girls watched TV, waiting anxiously for anything related to Megan and her whereabouts. Just when Katrina was ready to order a pizza, the newscaster said, "We have reports of a bizarre incident involving an oddly dressed woman running through the city. Witnesses claim that she appears to be naked except for various pieces of a rabbit costume. Now, I'm not sure if...what's that? We've got live video of her? OK, folks, let's get an eye on this for ourselves."
Jem and Katrina's jaws dropped at the image they saw on TV.
