Unending BE - episode 321955

Dabbler had not had an easy time alerting Sendulo. First she had to catch up to him – no simple thing, given that the entire rest of the team lay between them and she had to make up the distance as unobtrusively as possible. Second, her disguise was starting to feel the strain she was placing on it. Third, there was the matter of the Super (the same one, incidentally, that had led Danny the Street to take a powder)....

Ah yes, the Super. Bored, the Phantom Lady had wandered away from the highway, hoping to take in some of the sights of the Bizarro Backstage before those nitwits who had drafted her could hustle her into the East Wing and into uniform. She much preferred her own uniform, anyway—two strips of diaphanous golden material stretching from her crotch up over her breasts, leaving little to the imagination, a green visor, some boots and gloves—that was it, more or less. Before the AddVenture, this getup had helped distract the bad guys until it was too late for them. Here she had given up on bad guys. The strip clubs in Heroica were much more fun than fighting crime had ever been – and, up until now, had been instrumental in getting her a deferment from selective service to boot. Pity the current Conclave members were such hardnosed jackasses....

"Oo, what have we here? Vampires! Monsters! Looks like I'm not the only draftee taking French leave. Hmm, I've never actually made it with a vampire before, maybe I'll have a little fun with this crew...." Making her way towards them with her best bad girl prance, she began to assay the experiment of what it took to vamp a vampire.

The half-orca creature at the fore, at the moment trying to shrug off another monster clumsily importuning it, was blocking her way. Impatiently, she flashed her black light over both, blinding them so she could slip past. She might have tarried, had they shown any visible appendages of non-locomotive function. She smiled as she approached the first vampire.

"Hey, big boy, have anything to stick in a girl that isn't sharp and pointed?" she simpered.

The vampire froze, staring at her stupidly.

The Phantom Lady pouted. "C'mon, whats'a matter? Been out in the sun too long? Sheesh, you'd think with the SPF 100 lotion they issue you guys, you'd-- *"

It wasn't that she didn't see the foot coming. It was just that she didn't believe it. Who would want to attack lovable, fuckable her? A moment later, she was out like her own black light.

"Kato!" Sendulo barked at the vampire in question. "Have you no sense? Are you trying to get us—yes, what is it, Dabbler?!?"

"I've been trying to tell you, but you wouldn't let me speak! Danny the Street says we've already been found out! And D.J.'s in danger!"

"What are you babbling about? Danny didn't say any such thing to me about—"

"He was routing a call from one of—from one of my kind. It had to go to me or one of my friends, I guess. Sen, please—"

  1. *This put Sen in quite a bind.
