Heck, for $25 it would be worth the price even if all the weird claims the CD player made weren’t true. And if they were…he HAD to try this.
Jim glanced around and found a sales clerk not far from him. He caught her eye and signaled her over to assist him. She looked to be in her early 20s with short, curly brownish-red hair and a very cute face. Her body was trim with a few curves in the right places, and her lavender polo shirt and black slacks showed it off nicely. Her name tag read “Melody.”
She saw the display he was standing in front of and smiled. “Interested in the CDReal? It’s been quite popular today.” Jim glanced around, the store seemed empty. Maybe he had just missed a rush, or maybe she was just trying to sell him a crappy product.
“It does make some pretty amazing claims, especially for that price. Is there a way I could try one out before I buy it.” Jim tried hard to sound skeptical, but her smile was infectious.
“Of course,” Melody replied and pulled a key off a clip on her belt. She unlocked a glass window that had an open CDReal on display inside and pulled the CD player out. There were also headphones and a small CD wallet that came out with it. “This is our display model. Go ahead and give it a try. Setting it to Third Person is probably the best, you’ll see the song acted out by people who appear in your mind. It’s sort of like virtual reality, only not really.” Jim slipped the headphones on with a grin and reached for the CD wallet. “Sorry about the selection,” Melody offered just as he picked it up. She was right to apologize, but then they were probably old CDs that nobody wanted and were so bad that no one would pay for them. He flipped past Ace of Base and Foghat, rolling his eyes, and then hit something that may just be fun. Jim slipped the Divinyls CD into the player and fiddled with the settings. It was set to Third Person and Real Time. As he examined it he flipped the toggle to Second Person and hit play.
I love myself
I want you to love me
When I'm feelin' down
I want you above me
I search myself
I want you to find me
I forget myself
I want you to remind me
As the song started Jim watched as Melody started blushing and turning her eyes away from her costumer. By the end of the first verse her eyes had found him again and there was a twinkle to them and a warmth in her smile that was more than friendly.
I don't want anybody else
When I think about you
I touch myself
I don't want anybody else
Oh no, oh no, oh no
As the chorus played Melody’s hands ran slowly up her thighs and rose up above her head. Her hips moved in time to the “Oh no” part.
You're the one who makes me happy honey
You're the sun who makes me shine
When you're around I'm always laughing
I want to make you mine
Jim didn’t think it was possible for her smile to get larger, but it did and she giggled happily at him.
I close my eyes
And see you before me
Think I would die
If you were to ignore me
A fool could see
Just how much I adore you
I get down on my knees
I'd do anything for you
She slowly sank to her knees, her shoulders swaying to the rhythm of the song. Then the chorus played again and her hands pushed her pert breasts together and started massaging them, a look of pure bliss on her face.
I want you
I don't want anybody else
And when I think about you
I touch myself
Ooh, oooh, oooooh, aaaaaah
Melody glanced up at him and mouthed the words along with this part. As she did a hand slipped down into her pants and moaned with delight. Jim’s jaw had long since dropped and at this point he almost fell over. He caught himself, but in doing so he hit the stop button on the CD player. Melody shook her head and got to her feet. She gave him a bit of an annoyed look, but then it broke and she looked more amused than angry.
“So you’ll be taking one?” she asked with a knowing smile. Jim nodded dumbly. Melody took the display model from him and locked it back up, grabbed a CDReal box from the shelf and walked to the register. As Jim followed he heard her muttering, “Why do I leave that disc in there?” to herself.
