Thadius handed Rebecca a basket containing a snake named Kaa inside. The plan was to bring Kaa back to Cape Susette with her and hypnotize all the girls she knew. Once she was out, Thadius headed in the other direction to take care of Baloo with his poison. Thadius placed the poison in Baloo's soda drink, and that was how he had died. Thadius then started the plane and flew Rebecca back to her home. He then disguised himself as a commoner to fool everyone.
Once Rebecca had returned home, Molly came running to her mom to give her a hug. When her mom did nothing at all, Molly became suspicious. Molly then looked at the basket and decided to take a look and see. When she unvailed the blanket, Kaa's head came out and began hypnotizing her. Molly was scared at first, but she then became relaxed when she looked at him. Molly was now hypnotized and ready to receive orders. Kaa's hypnotizing was so powerful, that it left Molly's mind completely blank and without any memories.
