Samus looked herself over as her suit announced that the upgrade was complete. The soft blue glow of the shield that protected her body definitely seemed more powerful than the one she had prior to the enhancement, but the only way she'd know for sure was if she continued with her mission and found the space pirate Ridley.
In years past, she had faced Ridley many times, in multiple forms, and each time she had won, but each time he had found a way to come back to life after being killed by her. This time it would have to be different if she was going to keep him beat.
Samus began to scan the area with her visor, not sensing any more upgrades to her suit, she left the room and continued on down the corridor. It was surprisingly easy for her to get around with 4-inch spike heels, but her recent training (or so she believed) had allowed her maneuver around just as easily as she ever had.
At the end of the tunnel, there was a gaping chasm that led down further than she could see, and another door on the opposite side of the shaft.
