An hour later, Karen, Jim, and Katherine were standing in the nearby hospital in a private room otherwise occupied by an unconscious and elderly, woman. They had been challenged several times in walking from the clinic to the room, but Karen still looked like her ID - facially, anyway - that the title "doctor" carried the day. Karen had the woman's husband paged because, as Katherine pointed out, he might not admit that the changed woman was his wife.
The Reverend William Robert Roberts, known to his vast television flock as Billy-Bob Bobs, came into the room and immediately started in on the two women. "What are you doing here, HARLOTS! This is a place of healing, where my dear wife lies grievously ill."
Karen said, I am your wife's doctor, Karen Kidd. You may remember me, since we met yesterday to discuss her condition."
Billy-Bob Bobs said "Yesterday, you were dressed as a respectable doctor. While I have struggled with the question of whether or not God intended members of the fairer sex to work in a field that requires such dedication and intelligence, you seemed in the past to be a moderately good woman. Your current mode of dress and that of your companion now states otherwise, you nexus of sin."
Karen said "My current mode of dress is the cure for your wife's illness. I have found a means of reviving and rejuvenating the sick and am ready to try to cure your wife. I thought that you might, just might, get your mind off sin long enough to watch this happen."
Billy-Bob thought for a moment and said "You may proceed with your 'cure.' Rest assured that if it fails, I will have your license to pract-ice medicine."
Karen nodded to Katherine, who helped lift the light and fragile old woman from her bed. Karen slid the dress over her thin shoulders and chest, leaving the IV line inside the dress for the moment.
In front of their eyes, she seemed to be gaining weight. Her chest grew as a whole, as her rib cage expanded, her painfully-thin arms, legs, and neck filled out with new muscle and a sleek layer of fat, the wrinkles in her face disappeared as the flesh under the skin plumped outwards. Finally, and most spectacularly, her breasts grew. Outward and upward, pushing the dress out into the (by now familiar to Jim) F-cups and more. Even her hair darked from yellowish-white to a brassy blond.
