"Using excessive care might be rather obvious," Sharon said. "What if we did the reverse? Polished everything very quickly to make it look as if we were really keen to win. Then when the silver was examined we'd surely be marked down for not doing a very thorough job, and Rick's team would win. He did say that he hoped that we were good at polishing silver, not that he hoped we were quick, which suggests that speed isn't all that matters."
