"Yeah, yeah, hold your horses," a drowsy muu-muu-wearing Sharon called to the door. When she opened the door, her tone changed to "Whoa ... !" at the highly sobering sight of a concerned and slightly weary Dr. Crenshaw.
As erudite a man as he was, the good doctor very nearly said Whoa! himself. Sharon's bust was massive once more.
"So there you are. Look, we may need to get you back to the lab right away. Look at you. At that size you may shear off nay minute now."
Sharon looked down at herself, her eyes widening as the long chain of memories reassembled in her consciousness. "Shit, you're right!"
As Sharon sat in the back of Dr. Crenshaw's van, he plied her with questions. "Sharon, how did you get so big!?"
"It's Candace's fault. We tracked her down to that club, Mountaineers, and when I got there I was talked into being a stripper, since Candace had just left there."
"Candace didn't 'leave.' I had to come fetch her. She told me about how she suddenly became a go-go dancer named Candi."
Sharon smiled. "'Go-go' is too Sixties, Doctor. She was a stripper. I was, too. I called myself Sherry Cooking."
"I would never have believed that you would go into ... stripping."
"Neither would I. But I did, and I have to say, I think I love it. I found it very ... exciting."
"Exciting? Do you think it affected your breast growth."
Sharon felt sheepish. "I KNOW it did ... !"
Dr. Crenshaw frowned. "It's all very well that you were excited, but there's also the simple problem of mass. I think somehow the tissue has mutated into a 'plantimal' variety that can absord microscopic fungus right out of the air and instantly render it a close simulation of human flesh. We're in a cloud of microscopic fungus all the time, the potential for mass accumulation is simple incredible ... Sharon, I have to ask: where's Jim?"
"Umm ... oh, fuck. Doctor, I went to Mountaineers in the first place trying to find Jim but ... I sort of forgot. I mean, it was all so exciting, and I was getting sleepy and not thinking very straight."
"We've all got to get some control over this," muttered Dr. Crenshaw, but he didn't sound very hopeful ...
