For some reason, Alex’s roommates never show up that night, but since one’s a college student and the other’s an artist, that is not unusual. For tonight, between the fold out couches and beds there are enough places to sleep for everyone. They watch the news and check the internet. There are no reports of people turning into mythical creatures or unexplained disappearances. Alex and the girls talk about what to do, but since no one is sure exactly what is happening they don’t get very far. Eventually it gets late and they decide to get some sleep and then try again tomorrow. Alex makes sure everyone has pillows, blankets. He gets Marie set up by the hot tub. Alex ies down on his side on his bed. His centaur body barely fits. Alex considered sleeping up right like a horse , but this felt more comfortable for now. Just as Alex is starting to fall asleep
