Lilith returned quickly with the red headed Eve. THey bowed to the Mother and took Matthews under the arm, leading him to the choir roomfor his first whipping. Matthews didn't resist the girls. He truly understood that he needed this whipping to grow in the Lord. Part of him actually wanted the punishement. Cardinal Barnabas watched the girls lead off his acolyte for his proper punishment. He turned to the beautiful nun. "How long will his punishment last? " The Cardinal asked curiously. "The boy is gifted and is a boon to the ministry."
Mother Mary looked to the Cardinal. "It will depends on him, My Cardinal. I will try to return your acolyte but will truly depend on him. I take it you trust me to take care of it??" SHe arched a brow at the cardinal, hopeing he would resist him at this point. She had enough to train at the moment and it would be better to have him keep the church at bay. That didn't mean she would accept any disrepect from him either.
The Cardinal nodded. "I trust you to take care of him. I will check in once a year to make sure you have all you need and give you suggestions on how to improve the ministry here." He said as he opened the door. He gasped as a female police officer stood there, looking as if she was ready to knock. "Hello my Dear. Can I help you??"
The cop nodded to the cardinal and smiled. "I'm officer Maria Lopez. We recieved a call that there was an emergency here and I was sent. " She stepped inside and saw Father Michael and stiffened. "What's going on here??" She said as she reached for her gun.
Mother Mary stepped forward and demanded the cop's attention, motioning to the woman gently to keep her weapon away. "Please officier. This man is going through a sacred rite of purification. It's a complex ritual and not well known.Please be at ease. " She reached out and slowly worked her control over the police officer.
Maria inched her hand slowly away from her gun but her body was still alert. "I served as an Altar Server in my youth and I never heard of such a rite."
Mother Mary smiled assuringly. "I understand Sister. I thought you might be a member the cloth. I will be glad to explain everything to you. " She said as she lead the police officer deeper into the church.
