(sorry, longer more boring posts, but wanted to build up some ground rules for the safe zone, and how reality changes people inside the bubble - hopefully allowing for some more story play not limited to just the suit)

After taking off his helmet, and realised the place he was in now was safe, he thought it was okay to start taking off the rest of the suit and start repairing it. He was down to removing the last piece, the legs, when the fairy that had spoken to Troxi before appeared with an escort of three others.
She looked Freddy over a moment before looking towards Troxi, "You have brought him to our secret place, broken our rules that keep us safe, and the reason for this is answers. This is a human male, and we know what happens to them."
Freddy looked up towards the woman a moment, and then towards Troxi. "What happens to human males?"
"So far all the men that were in our company have become… well girls. Mixing in with the others. They seem to most effected, and they can't remember their old lives. We seem to be destined to be a tribe of females only." Freddy was about to inject that she should have warned him, and she raised her hand before he started, "Please let me finish."
Freddy pulled his armour legs off, finally revealing his body underneath the armour. He was dressed in a tight breathable fabric that looked a little like cotton, but had a little bit of a glimmer to it. It had been designed to allow his body to stay cool in the suit, without restricting his movements, and feel, but at the same time keeping him dry and health.
"As I stated this is a safe zone, so you won't suddenly start to change into one of us. But out there in the jungle you will change into one of us, and men tend to lose their memories of their old life. So do a lot of females, but some of us seem to be able to remember who we were, and the transformations we have gone through."
Freddy shrugged, "Then I won't be leaving the safe zone until I have my suit fixed." He looked around, seeing small houses in the trees, and the noticed that he was in fact in a fairy ring by the look of the circular mushroom circle he finally noticed he had entered. It was huge, probably a good meadow in size where there were trees and forestation, but there was almost no weeds, and a number of bright flowers scattered around the jungle ground.
"You won't be staying here unless you can hold your own, help here, and give us information. Else you are a waste of space." The woman stated.
"Look," Freddy lowered his armour to the ground and sat down with legs crossed. It was at that moment he realised he had his own voice back again. "La La La…. Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers.
A peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked. You were right, my voice has reverted."
Troxi smiled and nodded, "Mostly yes. Depending on the extent of the change, it takes time, so if you are changed a lot it would take a lot longer for you to revert. If your memories are lost however, it doesn't help there, and it appears to be based on your personal identity. Therefore if you think of yourself as who you originally were, you will revert to that. But if you think of yourself as the person or thing you have become, this place just enforces it."
"So if I think of myself as a god, I will become one?"
Troxi giggled and shook her head, "No, it is your core. Inside you is a core identity, and if that is changed that is who you feel you should be, your reality. While a lot of us know we have changed, and remember the time before, in our core we are all fairy. So a few of us, the warrior cast, remember our history, our past lives, but many of us don't."
The other woman was looking angry, and was about to say something when Freddy raised a hand, "Firstly, names. I am Freddy Irons. Before that name I was Frederick and I used to live in the city that used to be in the place of where we are now."
The woman stopped and looked at her escorts, and then back towards Freddy, "I am Flaxy. Before I was this, I used to be a man called Trent, a farmer. Then suddenly I was my first transformation, which was an adult version of a plastic Barbie doll, stuck on display."
Troxi nodded, "The warrior cast are the ones who remember their past lives. They are the most drive to keep our tribe together, and not just allow the new realities we find ourselves in to alter us. Somehow others come, from time to time, from between realities and they join us. For a while they are like their originally reality they came from, and then they slowly physically alter to match whatever this reality is, but that is because they head out of the safe zone. But, they need to, we need food, protection, and everyone here has to help our society survive."
Freddy listened to them for a moment, and finally nodded, "Okay. So some facts. The reason this is happening is there is a guy who has managed to perfect a reality altering bubble. The bubble right now covers many miles of space, including all of our old city. I managed to escape, and went on to use my knowledge of science and what he has done to create a suit. My goal was to come into this place and find Denzel, the guy doing this, and stop him." He could have told them everything, but he wasn't sure how they would take it if they learnt about the camera at his mansion, or that it was his own invention which had allowed this whole thing to start in the first place.
The fairies looked at each other a moment, and Flaxy looked back, "There is still a world unchanged by, whatever this is?" She opened her small arms to indicate the world around them.
"Yes, for now. If Denzel gets his way and grows the bubble more, I don't know how long before he has enough power to engulf the whole world."
"And the army?" One of the other fairies spoke up, with a small little meek of a voice. "They are trying to stop this right."
Freddy nodded, and was about to tell them about the nuclear attack and thought better of it. "But they are limited. Anyone who enters the bubble is changed, and of course never comes back. They sent in a whole platoon of people and Tanks, and no one came back."
All of the fairies looked a little down at that news, but Troxi stepped up to him and fluttered up to land on his lap. She was pretty small, sitting very comfortably on his knee, and only taking up that size also. They were probably all about 20 to 25 centimeters tall, but they looked like they could hurt him if he wasn't careful. And Troxi did save him from that vine… which had done a hell of a number on his armour.
