Greg ran out of Evelyn's office only to go into his own, and grab his things. Time to go home! People looked at this weird guy, fleeing with a stupid smile, as he jumped into the building elevator to go down to the garage and pick up his car. In the elevator, he thought about what would happen when Evelyn would find out about the disappearance of the precious device she arrogantly left unprotected. She might grow very big...
"Not this time!" Greg smiled, ignoring the people around him in the elevator, as he recorded "My boss Evelyn is back to her normal self and doesn't remember finding this device. And she gave me a day off for my good results!"
He heard a sparkling sound, and knew it was done. Evelyn Moore the terror was no more, probably back to whatever kind of stupid manager she had been before. Greg could barely stop himself from laughing. And eventually, he reached the parking, then his car, and drove outside trying not to get into a crash as he did, too excited. On his way home, Greg grinned. He was in his early forties. He never did anything good in his life, and had this crappy job. He had no children, and his wife Cindy was making his life a living hell. Once, they thought they could build something together. Years later, they were just arguing over the ruins of their wasted years. Cindy had lost her job recently and was hitting the bottle. She was going to divorce anytime, and probably make Greg's situation even worse without her than with.
But now, Greg could take care of this all. Make her life better, their life better... or should he just keep it all for himself? Greg wondered, while at the last traffic light before the street where he lived...
