"Thanks!" Vanessa said.
"Wait... " Tomo frowned "I forgot to add you should notice the change... do you really noticed them growing right now?"
"Uh... yes?" Vanessa blinked "Actually I do. Maybe it's because you used this device so much right in front of me, and right on me?"
"Maybe... but that's not important." Tomo shrugged "For now, school, because everyone is up for a big surprise!"
"Yes.. but remember, we're not dating officially!" warned Vanessa "It'd just add more confusion and reject for now. We'll tell everyone later" lied Vanessa. "Takes the school bus, I'll join you at school."
Tomo thought it was a good idea... she didn't want everyone to suspect she was the one behind Vanessa's growth. So she just left the house, ignored Vanessa's car in front of it, and went right for the school bus, talking to no one. She couldn't wait to see how people would react to Vanessa's growth.
And didn't regret it.

Here is Dr Orson, from the lab, he'll explain everything."
The Principal moved away and a man walked on the stage. He was quite old but still looked tired. Like he worked a lot lately. He took a paper from his pocket, and then, explained to the curious students what was up.
"In a High School, I expect all students heard of evolution. So what we're dealing with is... this. Vanessa's DNA has a few very small differences with ours."
"Small?" laughed a student "And you mean she's a freak, not a human?"
"No..." the doctor answered the poor remark "It's a difficult question, but basically, she has everything a human have, and then more. Just like an organism evolving into a more complex one. And the thing is : we found things our science cannot explain yet. This is why we can't explain how Vanessa's mass increases in bursts, and where the mass comes from. She's just at a level... different than ours."
Everyone stared in awe. As Vanessa was smiling stupidly wide. Really wide.
Science just officially called her a superior being.
She tried to hide how wet she was. Tomo's record did its job.
"So it means she'll grow more?!" asked a girl.
Another one started sobbing.
"I can't tell." the scientist said "As I explained, the only thing we knew is Vanessa is at a different level than we are. Locking her in a lab wouldn't even help us: our tools are made to measure things we understand. So I can't explain how things work at her level. Which means yes. Basically... she might have other growth spurt."
"How many? How BIG?!" asked someone.
"I... can't tell..." the scientist repeated "I just can't tell."
He sounded as despaired as everyone else. The principal took the mic.
"What we must focus on here is : what happens is evolution. It's a natural process. So please, I want you all to be very supportive with Vanessa."
"And who will support us?!" shouted a girl.
Vanessa towered above the tiny people as they started screaming, shouting, and no one was listening to anyone anymore. She smiled.
"Inferior beings..." she whispered to herself with satisfaction...
