Marcia returned to Vanessa’s enormous living room and the party went from raucous to silent in less than two seconds. The loud club music stopped abruptly. All eyes were on Marcia.
For a second, the tension got to Marcia, but then she grinned broadly. “Hey, everyone!” she said brightly. “How’s the party?”
“Holy shit! It’s Galaxy Girl!” a drunk jock shouted. A general cheer followed. Even Christy, Jennifer, and Kelly were clearly thrilled to have the World’s Greatest Celebrity visit a teen party. Vanessa humbly stepped forward, refusing to make eye contact, and said in a meek voice that seemed out of place in the teen queen.
“Um, Miss Galaxy Girl? You’re not here to shut us down. Are you?”
A confident laugh came easily to Marcia. “Oh, no, little girl!” Marcia loved seeing Vanessa flush at that. “I’m just here to have a good time! Now where are my homies Mike and Tom at?”
With her super-sight and hearing, she could observe her friends from across the room. For a second she thought they would both have heart attacks and die. Marcia noted with satisfaction that both Astrid and Honoko looked with awe on their boyfriends for having a connection to the world’s only real superhero.
“How does she…” Tom began.
“...know us?” Mike finished.
Moving too fast to see, Marcia moved across the room to stand in front of her two friends, who were completely oblivious to her identity.
“You know, I have access to the internet, too,” she said, smirking.
Tom blanched. “I’m so sorry for that fanfic I wrote about you!” The poor guy looked like he was about to throw up.
“And I’m really, really sorry about photoshopping your uniform off of you!” Mike added. He was practically melting into a puddle of shame.
“It’s all right guys,” Marcia said reassuringly. “In a way, it’s kind of flattering.” Marcia’s memories had remained pretty much the same in regards to her relationship between Tom and Mike. But Marcia had a secret second life as Galaxy Girl, helping people in need and protecting them from war and natural disasters. As the only real superhero, she became an instant global celebrity. Her image was on everything, from magazines to lunchboxes. She helped dig canals and alleviate the effects of climate change. She accepted only a pittance for these efforts, but it added up quickly and through her shell company she became one of the world’s ten richest people. Governments competed for her services, but she maintained a healthy distance above politics.
Marcia realized that she should have specified a better name than “Galaxy Girl.” It was kind of lame.
It only took a few moments for the other partygoers to spot Galaxy Girl, and they formed a crowd around her.
Vanessa herself offered Marcia a red Solo cup filled with beer with a trembling hand. “Um, Galaxy Girl? If you have a moment? My dad owns a shotgun upstairs, and...well…”
“Yes?” Marcia asked. Even with her powers and reputation, she still felt a little nervous talking to Vanessa. Part of her still thought of Vanessa as the Queen of the School.
Vanessa came close, so that their breasts were almost touching. Marcia could see the blush color her cheeks. “I heard that you...um...liked tall girls like me.”
This caught Marcia off guard. “I...uh…”
Out of nowhere, Christy hip-checked Marcia and got even closer to Marcia. Their huge breasts pressed up against each other. Marcia’s super-body was starting to get turned on.
“I heard that you like tall, strong girls, like me. Isn’t that right?” she purred.
