Usagi flexed her biceps experimentally, watching the peaks rise like mountains under her gloves. The white fabric of her gloves and the rest of her fuku had stretched magically to accommodate her new Amazonian frame, fitting skin-tight against her ripping quadriceps and sculpted abdominals.
"Okay... okay. The tingling is gone," she muttered, her voice sounding throatier and more resonant than before. "I guess this is it. I’m huge, but at least I'm not exploding or anything."
She took a step and was surprised by how much ground she covered. Her stride was immense, and she felt a heavy, distinct thud as her boots hit the pavement. She felt like a tank, practically vibrating with raw power. With the battle over and her body apparently stable, she knew she had to regroup with the others. They had split up to search for the youma, and were supposed to meet at the park fountain if they got separated.
Usagi broke into a run. What would normally be a light jog felt like a stampede. She moved with frightening speed, the wind whipping past her ears as her powerful legs propelled her forward with effortless explosive energy.
She arrived at the park in record time. Ami, Rei, Makoto, and Minako were already there, looking around anxiously.
"I can't believe she went after it alone," Rei was scolding, her arms crossed. "If she gets hurt, I'm going to kill her."
"I'm sure she's fine," Ami said, checking her mini-computer, though she frowned. "Although, I'm picking up a strange energy reading coming from..."
THUD. THUD. THUD.
The rhythmic heavy footsteps made the girls turn around. Their eyes went wide.
Usagi stepped into the light of the streetlamps. She towered over them, standing a full head and shoulders above Makoto, who was previously the tallest. Usagi's shoulders were twice as wide as Ami's, and her chest and hips had expanded to such proportions that she looked like a goddess carved from marble and stacked with dense muscle.
"Hey guys!" Usagi said, offering a sheepish grin and scratching the back of her head—a gesture that caused her massive triceps to bulge ominously. "Sorry I'm late. I took care of the youma, but... uh... there were some side effects."
The Scouts stood in stunned silence.
Makoto walked up to her, looking up at Usagi. She reached out and poked Usagi's rock-hard abs. "Usagi? Is that really you? You're... you're ripped. You're bigger than me!"
"Yeah," Usagi laughed nervously, posing slightly which caused her deltoids to flare. "I feel incredible though! Like I could bench press a bus!"
Rei's jaw was on the floor. "This isn't normal, Usagi! You look like a professional bodybuilder on steroids!"
The girls try to scan Usagi to see what happened, but the energy lashes out and affects them too.
Usagi decides to show off her new strength to the girls, enjoying their shock.
Usagi suddenly grabs Rei, her personality shifting slightly as the power goes to her head.
The growth isn't actually over; Usagi spasms as a second wave of changes hits her in front of her friends.
