"Ugh, how is it possible for you to be this dripping wet?" Megumin muttered to Aqua. "It feels like you're melting all over me. It's gross."
"I'm not gross!" Aqua replied. Then she sniffed, and what Megumin had thought was a puddle on the ground vanished up Aqua's nose. "I'm a Goddess!"
"A 'Goddess of Sick Snot', bleh," Megumin said. "Or maybe a 'Goddess of Healing That Can't Even Heal Her Own Cold', which is just about the best description of uselessness I can come up with." Aqua went to go yell an insult at Megumin, but when she opened her mouth, much worse things came out and landed on the ground instead.
"Uck, I'd explode you, but it would send snot all over the city!" Megumin said, laughing at her own joke, before shivering as she felt a big wad of Aqua land all over her neck. "Hey wake up!" she yelled, shaking the tiny blue-haired woman over and over. "How dare you drool on the magnificent Megumin!" she declared. As she shook Aqua, her hat moved back and forth several times on her head. Each time, another lock of blue seemed to fall out from underneath it, a perfect sky blue the color of robin's eggs.
"I sneezed on you earlier too, haha," Aqua said weakly before falling on the ground, sounding like she weighed several times what her svelte body actually did.
"That doesn't give me a good reason to help you back to the stable," Megumin said, crossing her arms over her flat chest. "Not until you apologize at the very least."
"Bwehhhhh," Aqua lifted up her hands behind her, then dropped them to the ground. Her feet did a similar motion soon after, and then her whole body twitched. Megumin realized she was attempting to do some sort of temper tantrum but her body just didn't have the strength. "If you don't take care of me then we'll never tracksuit chicken condo wrapper pile."
"..." Megumin looked at Aqua and saw literal steam coming out from her head. Clearly her fever was quite bad if her bodily fluids were literally boiling inside of her. "Fine, you stupid goddess. I think you were trying to say that if you didn't get better, we couldn't go any missions sooner, meaning I wouldn't be able to explode something this week. Is that right?"
"Blech."
"I'll assume one blech for yes and two blechs for no. Sure," Megumin sighed and went down to pick Aqua up. She sniffled as she did, but brushed it off, it probably wasn't anything serious. The mage wasn't physically strong by any means, but she did her best to yank the woman up and sling Aqua over her shoulders. She did manage to get Aqua up, but immediately fell over, flat on the floor. "Damnit!" she yelled.
"Okay, attempt number two," Megumin. "Heeere we go! Hah, the incredible, beautiful Megumin has done it," she said, managing to brace the useless sack of water around her shoulders. With Aqua drooling all over her back, Megumin had to shiver yet again, and then reached back. The (mostly) black-haired mage slid her hand up the bottom of her dress and yanked on her panties. They were giving her a bit of a wedgie all of a sudden. Megumin didn't even know why she bothered with panties, they could just be a hassle sometimes. She stopped in her tracks for a moment, wondering where that thought came from. It was a bit unusual, she'd never had any problems with underwear before.
"Come on you so-called goddess, maybe I can set some hay on fire to warm you up," the explosion-lover stated. If there was one type of magic she was good at, it was explosion magic. Well, it was literally the only magic she knew, so that didn't give a lot of options for the tourney.
"That sounds wooooonderful," Aqua said, sniffling loudly before Megumin managed to toss the lump on a pile of hay. She then grabbed a few thick handfuls and bent over to try and make a fire. Once again she had to reach up her dress and adjust her underwear.
"Did these stupid things shrink or something?" she muttered, picking it out of the crack of her ass. They really were becoming annoyingly uncomfortable. She refused to think it was due to any other reason, like her butt getting bigger. She may have had a flat chest, which she hated, but her butt was just as small. The fact her panties were wrapped, too snugly, around butt cheeks rounder than normal… well that simply wasn't happening.
"Here we go…" Megumin said as she prepared to make the fire. "Lords of fire, demons of flame, become the source of sickness bane! All will cower before Megumin's might, this pile of hay I set alight!" Megumin waved her hand in front of her face, and then used the other to strike a piece of flint, which set the hay ablaze to warm Aqua up. "Yes! I am truly a goddess of fire."
"Nooooo you're not," Aqua muttered, before trying to curl up around the fire as much as possible without actually touching it.
"Well. No, I'm not, you're the goddess," Megumin replied before clearing her throat. "But I did just save your life, hehe," she said before giving a cocky smile and tilting her head to the side. "Just sit there until Kazuma comes back." Aqua nodded and moved her head closer to the flame, before immediately sneezing on it. Megumin's eyes widened and she reached down to grab Aqua, throttling her.
"What are you doing?! Are you crazy?! You're going to set the whole place on fire!" she shouted. For some reason, in Megumin's mind, it made perfect sense that somehow Aqua sneezing on the fire would make it massively erupt. Not to mention that violently shaking Aqua around certainly wasn't doing anything to help her health issues, and if she wasn't careful, she'd get Aqua's rainbow-colored insides all over her face. Fortunately, she let Aqua go. Less fortunately, in the process she kicked over the flaming hay, and knocked it into a pile of hay that nobody with common sense would have left so close to a raging fire.
"Oh, crap!" she shouted. Megumin had quite literally, no knowledge about how to put out a fire. That was like dousing an explosion, it went against every fiber of her being and experience. "Ugh oh god and it stinks too!" The stable already smelled crappy, but now literal animal crap was flaming. The whole experience was awful. "Aqua, you're so brilliant and charming, do something to put this fire out!" she shouted, grabbing Aqua and shaking her again.
"Blehhhhhhhchhch!"
The fire was out, but Megumin wasn't totally pleased about the how. She sighed, and removed her hat to scratch at her head, letting even more of the blue locks lay flat against her back. By now more than half of her black hair had transformed into a perfect shade of blue, a shade that one might accurately describe as aqua. The mage pouted as she looked at the scene before her, unsure how to proceed, especially as a vague part of her mind was telling her that she might somehow be responsible for this. It was crazy. She'd just never felt so… useless.
