Maivus looked up at her live-in boyfriend from her laptop. "What have you got there, Gummi Bear?"
Bob really didn't like her pet name for him. It implied he was soft and squishy. He wasn't. (Okay, he was a little. He really should exercise.) But Tweetie Pie (her suggestion) was a collector of all things cute and adorable."It's a gift."
"For me?!" she said excitedly, putting the laptop aside to scurry over to him.
"If I can't figure out how it works, sure." The man he got it from said he was chosen to be a beta tester for its company's new product. It had to be plugged in, but it was already fully charged and ready to go on the first try. The guy even had shown him how to link it to his phone using the device's app. Had he downloaded everything correctly? He wasn't a techie.
As Gummi Bear studied some menu on his phone, Tweetie Pie examined the device he'd placed on the coffee table. "What's it do?" she asked, playing with the independent moving arms.
"It's supposed to reskin."
"Get a cute one! Hey! I've been browsing Google Shopping for new and interesting collectables!"
Bob sighed, "I don't think.,,"
"Come on...." she urged, and reached out for his phone.
An app option was accidentally chosen: One of the device's arms acted like an antenna attuning itself to what the laptop had on its screen and the other arm flashed a ray that struck Maivus!
