Dressed in her micro-mini French maid costume, Anette tottered over to Maria's plastic plant and delicately emptied a small glass of water over it. She was still getting used to walking in her seven inch platform heels.

Anette tilted her head and stared off into space for a bit, mouth hanging open. Maria recognized a lost cause when she saw one.

Maria just rolled her eyes and went back to her celebrity gossip magazine. The bitchy plastic Latina had taken to glossy periodicals and reality tv like a fish to water. Now she just breathed stars rising, falling, getting married, getting divorced, getting plastic surgery, getting rebranded, and getting sued. It was like manna from heaven. And she wanted more than anything now to be one of them, to ascend from mere plastic hot girl to glossy airbrushed goddesses, like Hercules to the Olympic Pantheon.

"Oh!" At last Anette got the door open.
