As the sunshine laps over the crater that used to be Tokyo-3, a figure is seen shambling through the ruins. It marches deliriously onward, seemingly oblivious to the chaos that surrounds it.
On closer inspection, it appears to be a young girl, around 14 or 15. She is a rather attractive young woman, with supple curves and ample breasts. However, her clothes are tattered and it looks as if she hasn't bathed in several days.
Looking deeper into her mind, the source of her distress becomes obvious. She was recently the victim of an attack by a creature not of this Earth, an attack that nearly ended her life as it threatened to rend her mind in twain. However, the peace of eternal sleep may have been preferable to her current status. She has lost the ability to control the creature known as Evangelion Unit-02, and is now useless to her former employers. With her reason for living pulled out from underneath her, she wanders the city, hoping for someone, anyone, to take her out of this dreadful existence.
The perverted intelligence grinned as it dropped it's "gift" into the world below.
Step. Step. Step. Step. Just keep walking. Just keep walking. Don't think about anything. Thinking leads to remembering. Remembering Shinji. That prick. Thinks he's better than me just because he saved the base and Rei and me...
