Setsuna was having a bad day.
Recently, the various Earth governments acquired about 30 mobile suits with abilities on par with the Gundams of Celestial Being through a betrayal from within the depths of their organization. This led to an all-out assault on the Ptolemy, a large spaceship which also doubles as Celestial Being's base of operations. With the help of a few last-minute upgrades, they were able to hold their ground, though the losses were massive. The intense battle culminated in a duel with the traitor himself, Alejandro Corner. By sacrificing a close friend and most of his weapons, Setsuna was able to silence the traitor for good.
But the battle was not over.
Out of the void of space, Graham Aker came barreling at Setsuna, equipped with a new GN Flag and the desire for revenge. With no other options available, Setsuna and his Gundam, Exia, decided to oblige him.
And so they fought.
The ensuing clash of ideologies and cold hard steel on red hot laser climaxed when they collided into each other at Mach 4, leaving them both beaten and battered but, surprisingly enough, alive.
And so Setsuna is left to drift Earth's orbit, clinging to life without the barest hint of rescue.
So yeah, Setsuna was having a bad day.
Luckily enough for him, some of the stray shots from the battle managed to hit a dimension-hopping super-being from beyond the veil of time and space. While barely being anything more substantial than a mosquito bite to something so ludicrously outside of our understanding, it did manage to dislodge an absurdly powerful artifact capable of completely remodeling the current universe. However, it requires external input to perform anything like that, namely a wish...

The Earth... It's so... beautiful... But why... Am I looking down...?
Suddenly it all came back to him. The battle with Alejandro, the GN arms, Lasei's sacrifice, The GN Flag, the collision...
Setsuna quickly scanned the cockpit. Controls look haggard but operational. From the pain in my chest, I most likely have several cracked ribs. The spacesuit is a bit worse for the wear, but the seal has not been comprimised. There appears to be a rather large hole directly next to the pilot seat. And there appears to be an incandescent jade rock floating through it.
Curious at this new development, Setsuna reached out to grab it, wincing at the incredible pain in his chest. He closed his fist around it, and brought to his face. There was something magical about it, something almost mezmerizing in its ever-persistent hue...
Setsuna shook his head, breaking him out of his stupor. There was work to be done. If he didn't get the engines working, he would die out here.
And so Setsuna stuffed the rock into a pocket of his spacesuit and connected himself to the cockpit via tether. He then worked his way around to the back of the machine and proceeded to jerry-rig a solution to his problem.

About a half an hour later (or maybe longer, who can tell), Exia was mobile again. The damage was still pretty extensive, however. Exia's left arm was nowhere to be found, and its head had a large piece of it missing. And even with the engine problems solved, there wasn't anywhere he could go. The Ptolemy was most likely somewhere in hiding, if it hadn't been destroyed. He had no way to contact his allies. The orbital elevators will have heightened security in case of straggelers just like himself. And his oxygen will be depleted before long. In the face of this impossible dilemma, Setsuna did something he hadn't done since his days as a ch1ld soldier.
He wished...

  1. "I wish that I could be with Marina right now..."
  2. "I wish that my friends are okay..."
  3. "I wish that someone would find me..."
  4. *"I wish Exia wasn't so beaten up..."
  5. *"I wish that I knew some way out of this mess..."
  6. "I wish for something else..."
