WR 1/2: Gullible Nabiki

Unending BE - episode 738801

Little is known of the ability possessed by most humans of telling the difference between fantasy and reality. Which area of the brain permits that to occur? Is it several parts working in conjunction?

Whatever it was, Nabiki's brain was being rewired in a manner quite unlike anything known to modern medicine. Her capacity for telling the difference between reality and fantasy, falsehoods and truth, exaggerations or metaphors with literal and actuality was utterly removed from her mind. This would surely only particularly bother her, save for one small detail: She was in possession of a reality altering rock.

Mixing these two could not possibly end particularly well for anyone. For now, let's join her just before her mind is changed, just as she spoke the words that would cause so much chaos...

"I wish I was gullible enough to believe anything without question," Nabiki said, entranced by the stone perched in the palm of her hand. "Then I might just believe that this was actually capable of granting wishes!"

A dizzy spell took hold of her from out of nowhere, as the glow from the stone deepened in colour, brightened in intensity. She blinked, then closed her eyes figuring that the light was the cause of her sudden headache. She fumbled around in the dark for a moment, then found her drawer and stuffed the rock in there for later use.

Eyes open once again, her gaze fell upon the clock. She had about ten minutes to meet up with that idiotic classmate of hers, Tatewaki Kuno. Easy money, plus he was usually good for a laugh. Nabiki scooped up the pictures, and left the building as quiet as a mouse.

"These are truly tremendous pictures, Nabiki Tendo! Such vigor, such energy! Such passion!"

Nabiki inspected her nails, idly ignoring the cash cow sitting opposite her. He always would pay through the nose quite happily for a few risque shots of Akane or girl-Ranma. They were, she had to admit, rather tremendous pictures indeed, and the two of them were somewhat vigorous, energetic and passionate. Kuno was an idiot, but she could easily believe he was right about that.

"Here is your money, Nabiki Tendo. Oh, but it is such a tragedy, a terrible shame that both these fair maidens toil under the influence of that foul sorceror, Ranma Saotome!"

Nabiki blinked. You know, now that he mentioned it, she could easily believe that Ranma was a foul sorceror. And after a fashion, he did indeed have both his girl side and Akane toiling under his influence. Such a tragedy indeed! She could certainly believe that!

But then again, given how her mind had been altered... she could believe anything.

  1. Nabiki plans to help Kuno set his two loves free!
  2. *Nabiki returns home, and overhears an argument between Ranma and Akane.
  3. Kasumi finds the rock while cleaning Nabiki's room.
  4. Someone interrupts Nabiki's discussion with Kuno.
  5. Something else
