Kasumi stared at the strange little glowing stone she had found, wondering just what exactly she should do with it. Was it magical? Where had it come from? Was it dangerous? If it was magic, what did it do? She probably ought to throw it away, but she felt the strangest urge to hold on to it for a little while, so that she could at least check it in her own time.
A crash interrupted her thoughts, and she turned to look outside to see what the commotion was. Happosai tormenting Ranma again, it seemed. Yet another effort to make his girl form wear a cute bra against his... her will. Ranma was bouncing all over the place, as always, casually insulting the old man - who stopped for a moment to grope Akane mid-yawn, resulting in her elbowing him angrily, and Ranma kicking him away. But then, just as things had settled down, Akane's errant pet appeared out of nowhere.
"P-Chan!" Akane squeeled as she scooped the pig into her arms. "Where have you been, baby?"
"Bet he got lost or someth- OW! Stupid pig!"
"Maybe if you treated him nicer, then he wouldn't bite you!"
Kasumi tuned out the rest of the argument. She'd heard it before, and every variation worth listening to. Letting out a weary sight, she felt a sentence almost drag out of her mouth before she realised she was saying it.
"I wish..."
