It's not the plot to the OVA. This is a porny twist on the manga chapter the bad anime team based their OVA on.
So just Ranma, Akane, and Ukyo instead of forcing in half the cast.

So it’s just supposed to make them have sex? The “lost love” thing is only a turn of phrase?
Pairing Ryoga and Ukyo as well as Akane and Ranma is pretty boring - it's been done so often.
