The power flowed through her like water down a river. It was hers to command, and hers to do with as she wished! All around her, the crowd gasped and booed and spat at her! Those fools did not realise what they were dealing with, but then again so many respond to that which they fear with hatred unparalleled. Hah! As if that made them any less foolish! She reached down deep within, and laughed as the vines flew around wildly, growing from the ground like a supercharged weed. The ground split from the roots, and the people's boos turned to screams of terror that sent a thrill down her spine. Yes! "That's right! Fear the Black Rose Witch! Hahahahaha!"
The laughter echoed throughout the arena as it slowly emptied of animal life, replaced with spilled blood, gore and vines so thorn covered one might believe the vine was a growth from them instead of the other way around. She laughed louder, longer, knowing this was the real her. Knowing that the power of the Black Rose Witch was eternal!
"No!" she yelled, sitting up in her bed in a cold sweat. Her bedroom? Yes, just... just her bedroom. She had not committed mass slaughter on an untold scale. Nor did the inclination to do such exist at any point within her... This was good. With a furtive wiping of her forehead, she rolled out of bed and leaned heavily on the windowsill. The nightmare had been hitting her hard all week now, with no signs of stopping. That horrible and dark power still existed deep within her, and frankly it scared her more than death itself. To lose herself to an evil part of her soul, to lose control of herself and commit such wicked acts... she was better than that. She had to be.
A faint glow caught her attention, and she turned to look at a strange looking rock that was glinting in the light of the rising sun. Now, how did that get there, she wondered... But as she cradled it in her hands, she could but sigh as words just flowed out of her mouth.
"I wish I had more control over my power..." she said, not quite realising just what she had unleashed upon the world.
