The only thing that might have improved it was if present Ranma could have been secretly watching them too. But given the setting of the scene, that seems improbable. Though I'm sure there's some way to manage that if someone really wanted to write it.
Regardless, this was a fun, thoroughly unexpected episode. What a pleasant surprise! Thanks a lot for posting it.
I agree, a most enjoyable episode. What selled it for me was Akane's reaction to seeing her future self going at it with future Ranma, knowing what Akane was like in the early days of the manga. This is bound to give her... ideas about "contemporary" Ranma. Ideas that she would vigorously deny, of course. At first.
I'm looking forward to seeing how this goes.
