Sakura started as her eyes snapped open. Looking around she took in the room that wasn't hers and the two other sleepers lying somewhat haphazardly on the floor nearby.
'Why am I in Ataru-san's room?' she thought as she focused on quietly pushing herself to her feet. 'This would look really bad, no matter what actually happened.' She paused, thinking back to try remembering what had happened to draw her to the Moroboshi house.
"Mmm, Sakura-Chan?" Lum asked, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes and floating off the floor so she could rotate into a sitting position. "Why. . . Oh you were having some sort of dream?"
"Eh," Sakura looked around with a puzzled expression. "Well that sounds familiar, but I can't see why I'd come here over that. Especially since my dreams have been really nice the past few days." As she responded, Sakura thought back trying to recall some of the details of her recent dreams, but all she could recall was feelings of comfort, happiness, and a little arousal as well.
Shaking her head, Sakura took another look around the room. Her eyes halted on Ataru, her breath briefly catching as she found herself drinking in the sight of his sleeping face. A moment later she shook her head and turned to the door, quietly letting herself out of the room.
'I must not be over my insomnia yet,' Sakura thought as she quietly slipped down the stairs of the Moroboshi house to the entryway. 'He's not that good looking . . . not really.'
As she slipped on her shoes she paused as she realized that she had also wanted to kiss him good morning. Again she shook her head, 'That's crazy, as school nurse that's completely inappropriate behavior on my part. Also, why would I want to do that? I though I was sleeping better the last few nights.'
With a final shake of her head Sakura left the Moroboshi house and walked down the street, an uncertain expression on her face.
As Ataru walked to school, he glanced sideways at Lum who was floating alongside him. She had seemed a bit off all day, from the confusion she had expressed while telling him that Sakura had left before he woke up, to the way she seemed to take so long to react when he started talking about Sakura and other girls, and even now the way she seemed so distracted as she flew.
"So, about those Dream Berries, Lum?" Ataru casually asked.
"Huh? Oh yes, ones ripening nicely and I was thinking I'd try it out tonight. I think that Ten might have stolen one a few days ago . . ." She once again spaced out, then shook her head and grinned at Ataru. "I know I'll be having wonderful dreams!"
Ataru's consideration was briefly interrupted when he spotted a cute girl from another school walking down the street. For a moment he paused, thinking of tricks to distract Lum while he made his move, but then recalling the ending of the dream he considered a different course of action.
"Girl Hunting Go!" he called at a volume just high enough to be guaranteed to draw Lum's attention then sprinted to where the other girl was walking.
"Hello miss!" he intoned as he pulled out his notebook. "Do you mind if I ask you your name? Your Phone Number? Your measurements?"
"Get away!" the girl called, shifting from a walk into a run.
Ataru noted that he was still not electrocuted and looked toward Lum. She still had an uncertain look on her face, but finally a little anger was rising to the surface. "Darling!"
