"You caused this Ataru!" Megane screamed. Inside the bathroom he had taken off the bandages on his face, revealing the multi colored stripes covering his body.
"You're the one who was all 'indirect kiss', I was the one who said the whole idea was stupid." Ataru responded.
"Well you still need to fix it!" Mendo declared pulling his sword to gesture threateningly with.
"That's right, this is an alien disease so we need alien medicine!" someone called.
Ataru sighed. "Unfortunately Lum was feeling worst so she flew back to her UFO to rest it off there."
"Argh! I can't wait! There's gotta be something else we can do!"
Ataru looked over the other boys and sighed. "Well if you're that desperate, meet me in the school yard near the nurses office with a basket, a stick, and a rope."
"What exactly do you need my help with Moroboshi?" Sakura asked as she watched him quickly prop up the basket with the stick that the rope was tied to.
"Don't worry, I just need you to stand right there and crouch down," Ataru explained as he adjusted his grip on the other end of the rope.
Chibi took one look at the trap setup and declared, "Come on, nobody's dumb enough to fall for that."
Half a second after the words left his mouth Jariten flew right into the space under the basket with a call of "Sakura-Chan!"
Ataru casually yanked the rope to drop the basket on top of the Oni toddler.
Jariten scowled as he flew into Lum's flying saucer, muttering in annoyance to himself. Then he paused as he looked at where Lum was sleeping in her medical pod. "I shouldn't wake her," he thought as he turned to float toward where the medicine cabinet was.
"Cold medicine. . . cold medicine . . . I can't read all these big words!" He pulled out one bottle, "This might be it. . ." giving it a quick shake he realized it was close to empty. With a shrug he pulled out a few other other might be's and poured some of the pills from them into the first container.
"Are you sure this is the right one?" Ataru asked as he considered the bottle of alien medicine Jariten had brought.
"Are you calling me stupid!" Ten responded, floating to the bottle and pointing to a mass of tiny alien lettering on the lid. "What does that say?!" he asked, while privately wondering what it did say.
"Oh right!" Ataru responded with a nod.
Alien diseases could have odd and unpredictable effects. Alien medicine could also have odd and unpredictable effects.
